Cyprus Advertising and Communication Association (SDEK) The Cyprus Advertising and Communication Association (SDEK) has been the official body representing the advertising and communications industry in Cyprus since 1982. SDEK has been an active member of the European Association of Communications Agencies since 1990. In 2019, it organised the Carob Awards for the first time. Today, the Carob Awards constitute Cyprus’s largest advertising and communications awards event. Since autumn 2022, SDEK has served as the official representative of Cannes Lions in Cyprus. The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world’s largest and most prestigious international competition for the advertising and communications industry. SDEK is also a founding member of the Cyprus Advertising Regulation Organisation and the Television Audience Measurement Research Committee.
