The DSA is committed to enhancing the nation’s cybersecurity, with a primary focus on protecting the National Critical Information Infrastructures (CII), institutions, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The DSA collaborates with banks and ISPs to implement measures for preventing, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents. As the authoritative entity of the European NIS Directive, DSA’s principal objective is to augment cybersecurity across all crucial sectors including energy, transportation, health, and digital infrastructure. The DSA also functions as the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCCC-CY) and Certification Authority in Cyprus, maintaining a strong collaboration with the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC). Additionally, the DSA carries out awareness campaigns regarding cyber threats, offers timely advisories, and implements advanced security services to strengthen the country’s digital defences.
