Francesca is an experienced professional who works on global education, sustainability, democracy, and international cooperation. For over 20 years, she has led teams, managed international projects, and advised civil society organisations and public institutions. Between 2020 and 2025, she led the DEAR Support Team, helping the European Commission run the DEAR Programme that promotes global awareness, education, and active citizenship throughout Europe. She studied and worked in the Balkans, Great Britain, and Italy, and has a background in international relations and South-East European studies. Her work focuses on how people and communities can learn, connect, and take action for a fairer and more sustainable world. Francesca now works as a freelance consultant, supporting NGOs, public bodies, and research centres with project design, management, evaluation, and strategy.
