Understanding the big picture around cyber security can help organizations stay alert, become proactive and prepare for serious cyber threats, at a strategic level. The objective of the Cyber Security Conference is to provide insights into setting up, maintaining and improving information security, protection against hybrid threats, protection of critical infrastructure in companies and institutions, through information and education about how to prevent, detect, defend against – and alleviate the consequences of – cyberattacks.

Information

For the first time, IMH is organising the Cyber ​​Security Conference, which aims to inform Cypriot companies about the current and future cyber security risks. The Conference is addressed to all Cypriot companies of all sectors and sizes. The conference aims to highlight hot topics and strategic issues for senior cyber security executives, IT professionals, CEOs and business leaders who are concerned and interested in cyber security issues.

Kyriacos Kyriacou

Chairman, Cyprus Tech Association

Kyriacos Kyriacou is the General Manager of NCR Cyprus Ltd the first multinational ICT company that stepped its foot in Cyprus since May 1955. Technology person active for the last twenty yearsin the ICT Sector in Cyprus, sixteen of which at NCR. Graduate of UMIST University in Manchester, United Kingdom, with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business in technology. He has been serving on the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation since 2016, as well as the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cyprus. In April 2021 he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Tech Association under the auspices of the Cyprus investment promotion agency, Invest Cyprus.

Dr. Eliana Stavrou

Course Leader MSc Cybersecurity, UCLan Cyprus

Dr. Eliana Stavrou is an Assistant Professor and the Course Leader of MSc Cybersecurity at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus. She holds a PhD in Cybersecurity, an MSc in Advanced Information Technologies and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus. She is practising applied research on cybersecurity capabilities development, threat profiling, cyber situational awareness, and cybersecurity education and training. She is also a member in several national and European advisory boards in cybersecurity and a mentor at the Doctoral School of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

Mark Hughes

President, Security, DXC Technology

Mark Hughes is president of Security for DXC Technology. He is responsible for DXC’s Security business including cyber defense, digital identity, secured infrastructure and security risk management. Mark joined DXC from BT, where he most recently served as chief executive of BT Security. In 2013 Mark led the formation of BT Security, which has become a global leader with 3,000 cyber security experts across 15 security operation centers globally and double-digit annual revenue growth. Earlier in his career, Mark was the commercial director at MWB Business Exchange. He began his career in the British Army. Mark has served on national boards, including the Cyber Growth Partnership for the United Kingdom, and he currently is a member of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Cybersecurity Board.

Raphael Marichez

Chief Security Officer for Southern Europe, Palo Alto Networks, France

Raphaël Marichez previously occupied cybersecurity and operational responsibilities in the French Government for 10 years. Mostly, as the global Chief information security officer for the French Ministry of Interior, and as the head of the agency within the Prime Minister services, in charge of deploying and operating the federal communication network for all the ministries over the French territory mainland and overseas. He joined Palo Alto Networks as regional CSO in 2020 to fasten the cybersecurity adoption by large companies and public organisations in Southern Europe, strengthening their information systems efficiency, effectiveness and liability, by combining Palo Alto Networks expertise and CISOs/ CIOs/CFOs leadership.

Tor Saltveit

Cyber Security Officer/CISO, Huawei, Norway

With an avid interest in smart technology, Tor Saltveit started work for Huawei in early 2020. He has lead Deloitte’s Cyber Risk department in Norway, as well as working as the CISO for Telia Norway. Before starting in the private sector, Tor worked for the national security services, leading NorCERT and also the strategic analysis of digital threats. He has a career behind him as an intelligence officer in the armed forces. Tor holds a BSc in Computer Engineering, a MSc in Informatics and is a graduate of the Norwegian Military Academy.

Trish McGill

SR. SME Cyber Security IT/OT, Ilionx, The Netherlands

With over 20 years of experience in Corporate, Financial, Oil & Gas, Chemical Industry, Manufacturing, Government, Military and Technology, in both domestic and international settings, Trish McGill is considered a leading Trusted Advisor and Sr. Subject Matter Expert in IT/OT Cyber Security and Compliance worldwide. On top of her Cyber Security and Compliance knowledge, she has extensive experience in Program- Project Management and Service Delivery and is a well-known keynote speaker on Cyber Security.

Andria Dionysiou
IT Manager, National Betting Authority

Andria Dionysiou is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Cyprus, as well as in 2015 she obtained a master’s degree (MEng) in the field of Energy Technologies and Sustainable Design from the same University. In 2015 until 2019 she worked at the Cyprus Research and Academic Network as a Special Scientist, where she was involved as coordinator for the establishment of Cypriot Academic CSIRT, which was funded by INEA (European Commission) in collaboration with Digital Security Authority. For the last 3 years, she has been working at the National Betting Authority, in the IT department where she has been involved in a variety of projects related to information security and cybersecurity, among others the ongoing self-exclusion platform, as well as many more. She also actively participated in the organization’s ISO27001 certification and she is part of the certification team.

Christos Yiacoumis

Principal, Cyber Security Lead, KPMG Cyprus

Christos is a Principal and the Cyber Security lead at KPMG in Cyprus. He has more than 14 years of relevant experience in the field of Information Security. He started his career at Thales e-Security (UK) as a Software Engineer and then moved to KPMG in Cyprus in 2010. He has since been working with local and International clients in sectors such as Banking, Oil & Gas, Government, Telecommunications, etc. towards improving the security posture of their Organisations. He has been actively involved and led the delivery of high-profile Cyber Security engagements for selected multinational clients in the Netherlands, UK, Greece and the UAE.

Vasilis Charalambous
Head of GZGTech, George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC

Vasilis Charalambous is a Senior Lawyer at George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC and the Head of GZG Tech, advising public and private sector clients on emerging technologies including Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Artificial Intelligence, and personal data issues. He is the Vice-President of the Technology Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association and a member of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA), the European Association of Data Protection Professionals and the Tech London Advocates Blockchain Legal and Regulatory Group. Mike Jones "H4unt3d Hacker" started his career in the military as a Signal Intelligence Operator in the US Navy at the US Joint Forces Intelligence Command. Immediately after leaving the active duty military, Mike put on civilian clothes and went to work as a department of defense contractor for the US Joint Forces Command defending the US Navy's Atlantic fleet. After leaving Virginia, Mike monitored large networks like Verizon as well as leading red teams for defense contracting companies such as ManTech Intl. Mike has lead red teams, built secure operations centers as well as provided threat intelligence for large financial institutions such as Bank of America. Mike’s background is key to his success. His motto in security is "in order to defeat an enemy you must learn and become your enemy". Mike also does privately consulting performing penetration tests and intelligence gathering.

Gauthier Lulka is Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer at Murex. Gauthier develops information security and data privacy strategy, and drives the company’s information security program.
