Stavros Ioannou is the CEO of Grant Thornton in Cyprus. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Drawing from his time with Grant Thornton in the UK, Stavros holds over 30 years of experience in advisory services particularly in financial due diligence in connection with acquisitions and fundraising, flotations and public company transactions. Stavros has led significant projects relating to the banking industry in Cyprus and acts as relationship partner and quality reviewer on complex advisory engagements. He is a mentor and coach supporting individuals from both within and outside Grant Thornton Cyprus to develop and thrive as professionals and in any other area they are passionate about. Stavros’ approach to leadership and what he considers to be a core part of the firm’s strategy stems from his personal view that in order to achieve growth in any organisation, people have to come first.
Dave Dunckley has recently started his second term as CEO of Grant Thornton UK LLP having been first appointed in December 2018. He has been at the firm for 25 years. Before being appointed as CEO, he had various leadership positions in the firm, including the Head of Advisory and before that UK Head of Restructuring.
Nick joined Grant Thornton Ireland in 2013 and was admitted to the Partnership in 2018. As a Partner within the Financial Services Advisory Group (FSA), he has a dedicated focus on the service lines of Financial Services Consulting and Restructuring & Recovery as well as contributing his knowledge and experience to the other Financial Services Advisory service lines. He has extensive experience in advising financial institutions and companies on strategic restructuring options and has acted as a receiver in formal appointments. Nick’s experience includes advising financial institutions on their non-performing loan deleveraging options, advising financial institutions on property and loan portfolio sales, strategic advice on the enablement and migration of loan portfolio sales, strategic advice and management of complex trading receiverships, oversight of fixed charge receivership platforms, strategic advice and management of complex liquidations and strategic advice to directors of insolvent companies.
