Senior Manager, Association of Cyprus Banks

Michael Kronides was born in Nicosia in 1971 and holds a Master in Business Administration (University of Surrey) and a Bachelor of Commerce (University of South Africa). He worked for two years (1998-2000) at Bank of Cyprus, initially at the Representative Office in South Africa and also the International Business Unit. He subsequently worked for six years (2000-2006) at HSBC Bank plc at the position of Head of Private Banking. From 2006 to date, he has been employed at the Association of Cyprus Banks at the position of Senior Manager. Currently, he oversees specialized banking matters relating to the supervisory and regulatory framework and is a member of the Banking Supervision Committee of the European Banking Federation.
