He started his career with PwC in London in 1986 and returned to Cyprus in 1992. He has extensive experience in auditing and business advisory services with a client portfolio of local and international companies. He was the Assurance and Advisory Leader and a member of the Management Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Cyprus till 30 June 2019. He is currently the Vice President on Economic affairs of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a Member of the Board of Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) and the Board of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce (KEBE). He was a member of Council the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus from 2013 to 2016.He has also served as one of the five members of the Cyprus Commission for the Protection of Competition from 2003 to 2008. Liakos has an Honors degree in Economics from London School of Economics and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
