George has over 25 years of experience in ICT, holding a B.Eng in Computer Engineering and an MSc in Communications Systems. He spent 14 years in senior regional ICT roles within multinational organizations. Since 2014, he has led Cyprus’ National Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services. In 2018, he also took on the responsibility of the Network and Information Security Authority, overseeing the establishment and operation of the National CSIRT. Additionally, he manages the National Cybersecurity Certification Authority and the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity. George is a board member of BEREC and the European Cybersecurity Competence Center (ECCC).
