Dr Joseph Duffy is the CEO of Jigsaw – The National Centre for Youth Mental Health in Ireland. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked in the area of mental health for almost 30 years.
Joseph is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Psychology, UCD. He currently holds two Ministerial appointments – to the Board of the Mental Health Commission since 2022 and to the Young Ireland Advisory Council since 2024. From 2020 to 2026 he sat on the National Implementation Monitoring Committee (NIMC) for Sharing the Vision – A Mental Health Policy for Everybody, the Irish Government’s policy framework for the continued development and enhancement of mental health services in Ireland from 2020 to 2030. He was formerly a board member of Mental Health Reform (2020-2024) and a member of the Executive of the International Association for Youth Mental Health (IAYMH) (2021-2024). He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Irish Probation Journal. Joseph is an elected Fellow of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
