Alexandros Tifas is a Mental Health Nursing Officer and Certified Drug Addiction Counselor (IC&RC/AODA) at the Nursing Services Administration of the Ministry of Health in Cyprus. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the Technological University of Cyprus and a Master’s degree in Management and Social Planning in the Drug Addiction Field from the National School of Public Health, Greece. With over 25 years of clinical experience across residential and outpatient settings, he is currently seconded to the Ministry of Health, where he plays a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of national mental health policies and services. His recent work has been instrumental in advancing mental health resilience projects in collaboration with international organizations like UNICEF and the European Commission.
