Andrea Petronio is a senior partner in the Milan office of Bain. He joined the firm in 1996, worked in the Milan office, and was elected to the partnership in 2001. He is leading the local retail practice in Italy, Turkey and recently also Greece. He is a senior member of the EMEA retail practice.  Andrea has worked extensively in retail across all sectors, with major and leading companies in Italy and EMEA, serving many high value creation projects and programs, supporting also primary PEGs active in this industry. He has also a relevant experience in FMCGs in commercial acceleration and RTM. His primary competence and experience is in corporate and business strategy, omnichannel, performance improvement, M&A and PMI, organization. His experience covers all major retail sectors: grocery, drugstores, restaurants and QSR, Health & Beauty, DIY, Consumer Electronics, Pet care, travel retail, apparel and department stores. He is the author and promoter of the Retail Shopping Outlook study in Italy, the ESG Retail Pulse check in Italy, supported major national associations as Confimprese, Indicod-ECR, ADM, Centromarca and is the opening core speaker of the Marketing & Retail Summit in Italy. Andrea is graduated cum laude in Statistics and Economics in Bologna and prior to joining Bain he worked for Nestlé (Italy, UK, Switzerland and India), and KPMG Consulting. He lives near Venice, with his wife Giovanna and their sons Maria Vittoria and Marco.
