Paraskevas Panayi is the Chief Information Security Officer at Astro Bank. He holds an MSc in Network Management and Security from London Metropolitan University and a BSc in Computer Science. He has worked as an Information Security Analyst, Head of InfoSec Risk Management team and Manager ICT & InfoSec Risk Management at Bank of Cyprus. In a previous life, he has also worked as a web developer in leading organizations offering financial and billing services, with the mission of digital transformation, optimizing, digitizing and automating CRM related services. Panos Panayiotou is a distinguished leader in cybersecurity, with over 25 years dedicated to advancing the field through strategic leadership and hands-on execution. As the CEO at circl3.tech, Panos has been instrumental in shaping cybersecurity policies and practices both locally and in broader European contexts. Panos began his career by setting up the CISO offices at two of the island’s leading banks (Laiki Bank and Bank of Cyprus) and later expanded his influence to the central government, currently acting as the CISO of the public adminstration. His expertise has been recognized through his participation in ENISA’s Adhoc working groups, where he contributed to the development of EU-wide cybersecurity cloud certification and cybersecurity skills framework. He has setup and chaired the Cybersecurity Working Group in the Association of Cyprus Banks and has been an active member of the European Banking Federation’s cybersecurity working group. Christos is a Cybersecurity Partner at EY within the Technology Consulting services. He has over 17 years of experience in the field of Cybersecurity, Digital trust and Resilience, working for professional services and technology providers for clients in multiple countries in Europe, UK, and the Middle East. He has acted as an advisor to C-Level individuals, Boards of Directors and Regulators on the design and implementation of Cyber Security strategic roadmaps and emerging technology secure adoption, while also supporting the CISO function for a range of clients.  He has extensive experience with regulatory frameworks and international standards including ISO 27001, NIST 800, GDRP, and most recently with DORA. He has acted as a trusted advisor to National Authorities for the development and implementation of national cyber security risk management frameworks and technical standards and guidelines for critical infrastructures. Stelios is the Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of Cyprus since October 2021. He is responsible for the design and monitoring of the implementation of the Group’s Information Security Programme. He joined Bank of Cyprus in August 2020 as Governance Manager under the CIO function. Prior to joining the Bank, and from November 2016 to August 2020, Stelios held the position of Global Chief Information Security Officer for a large multinational BPO services company (Tek Experts Global Ltd). Earlier, Stelios worked at KPMG Cyprus from 2005 to 2016, where from 2012 he held the position of Director and led the Information Protection and Business Resilience Advisory Services. He holds a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering from Warwick University UK, and an MBA from Warwick Business School UK. He is a Certified Information System Manager (CISM).

Dr Marios Neofytou is a Senior Officer at the National eHealth Authority of Cyprus and Director of the National Contact Point for eHealth services. Dr Neofytou, received his diploma degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the NTUA. Dr Neofytou is actively involved in Νational and European projects, funded by the European Commission and the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus, He is working in eHealth research projects since 2000 (current projects: EUVAC, i2X, Xt-EHR, eCAN, XShare, PATHED, EUDCC), dealing with eHealth application. Being one of the 190+ chapters of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Cyprus Chapter of the ACFE is an anti-fraud organization that serves professionals, students and communities in Cyprus. The objective of the Cyprus Chapter of the ACFE is to promote improved fraud detection and deterrence. This is achieved through enhancement of knowledge, promotion of networking opportunities and support for its members and the business, academic and government community.

Cyprus Computer Society (CCS)

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) is a professional, scientific and independent non-profit organization, founded in 1984 with the aim of developing, upgrading and promoting the IT sector in Cyprus. CCS seeks to set high standards among industry professionals, recognizing the impact that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has on employment, business, society and the quality of life of the citizen. Playing a key role in connecting academics with the professional sector, the Association promotes key issues in the industry, especially in the fields of digital literacy, professional skills, professionalism, education, training and research. Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge (CCSC)

The Cyprus Computer Society in cooperation with information security specialists in Cyprus, from both academia and the industry, are organising the Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge (CCSC), a competition which aims select and train the Cyprus National Team which competes at the annual European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) which takes place annually. The competition is organized with the aim of identifying new talents in the field of cyber security (ages 14-25), as well as encouraging young people to pursue a cyber security career. The ECSC is an initiative of the European Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA). The participants are asked to solve challenges related to web security, mobile security, crypto puzzles, reverse engineering and forensics and will collect points for each challenge they solve.
