8th Advertising, Marketing and Communication Conference
The 8th Advertising, Marketing & Communication Conference is an annual event, a development of the annual Brand Congress, which aimed at the world of advertising, marketing, media and communications in Cyprus. It is the biggest gathering of professionals in the sector and its objective is to provide them with information, to increase their knowledge, and to facilitate the exchange of experiences and discussion of issues of importance to them.
This year the 8th Advertising, Marketing & Communication Conference will be focusing on the future of advertising in relation to the recent changes in consumer behavior due to the pandemic. It seems that the new consumer behavior will transform the industry’s future therefore companies need to better understand the new consumer and empower their brand accordingly
This will be a physical event, held in compliance with all the public health regulations in force at the time, based on developments regarding COVID-19. The Ministry of Health has decreed that the event may take place in the presence of people holding a SafePass in the form of either: 1) Proof that you have had at least one vaccination and a period of 3 weeks has passed since then (as stated on the card given to you at the time of vaccination); or 2) Proof that you have contracted COVID-19 in the last 6 months (the release or recovery text message sent to your mobile phone by the Ministry of Health); or 3) A negative PCR or rapid test certificate, dated no more than 72 hours before the event. Please have one of these three forms of SafePass with you and present it on request.

Despo Lefkariti after her studies in Marketing in London, started her career in the family petroleum company Petrolina Hellas in Greece. In 1985 she returned to Cyprus and founded DELEMA, one of the largest and most creative communication agencies in Cyprus, affiliated with MCCANN Worldgroup, the largest and most effective communication network in the world. Elena Leontiou has an BA degree in Communication from Wittenberg University, USA, and an MPhil in Sociology from University of Cambridge. For the past 15 years she has been leading the media department of IMH which publishes IN Business and Gold magazines, manages the exclusive business portal InBusinessNews and the polythematic Reporter, and produces various client, mainly business, publications. He served as vice president of the Cyprus Communication Agencies Association and was also the president and a founding member of the committee for CAROB, the first Cyprus Advertising Festival Awards in 2019. Chryso Poullikka currently serves as the Brand & Communication Manager of the Bank of Cyprus Insurance Business, being responsible to manage and develop the Brand Equity for EuroLife and General Insurance of Cyprus. Since 1997, she worked in different positions within EuroLife, ranging from Brand & Communications Manager, to PR and Adverting through to Research and CSR officer. Prior, she worked in advertising agencies. Chryso is a graduate of Oxford Brookes University with a Major in Tourism and Visual Arts and holds a Master of Science from the University of Surrey in Tourism Marketing, a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing by CIIM , and a Mini MBA in Brand Management. She is a Board Member of the Cyprus Advertisers Association.

Martin Greenbank is C4’s Head of Advertising Research & Development, having joined from Havas agency Arena 7 years ago. He has; over 25 years of media planning and insight experience to C4, is the channel’s BARB board member, and was awarded an IPA Honorary Fellowship in 2014 in recognition of his contribution to media, advertising and audience research. He lives in Guildford with wife Katie, and their 3 children who have never seen him without a beard.

Joe Ayache after 30 years of experience in advertising founded A&A, in affiliation with Porter Novelli network. He has a long history of advertising and marketing as well as award winning campaigns touching all categories FMCG, F&B, Retail, to Telecom, Automotive, Banking & Finance, Government & Non-Profit. This is coupled with a large network of connections adding a unique value to the PR work. Emilia Orphanidou graduated in 1999 after obtaining a BA degree Management from Wittenberg University, USA and an MBA degree from University of Coventry, UK. Since 2015, Maria Odysseos is the Deputy Marketing Manager of KEAN Group. She graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Graphic Design and Advertising and holds a diploma in Public Relations since 2010. With over 16 years of experience in the retail sector, and the food and beverage industry, Maria has implemented pioneering communication campaigns which have led to the growth of KEAN in the Cypriot market. Michalis Papaioannou holds a BSc in Marketing Management, The American College of Greece and an MSc in International Marketing, University of Strathclyde, Scotland. He worked for seven years in the Food industry, in Minerva Edible Oils Enterprises, in Greece. In 2003 he joined Allied Domecq, in the spirits industry. In 2005 he joined Pernod Ricard Greece and managed a wide portfolio of global brands, as Senior Brand Manager and Marketing Manager.
