Jan Noterdaeme is the co-founder of CSR Europe (1996), a Network of 100 corporate members and National Partner Organisations that supports and unites 10.000 enterprises across Europe on Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility. On behalf of the European C’homme’Pany Jan acts as Senior Advisor for CSR Europe and Maître de Conférence at the Louvain School of Management. Jan first worked for the Secretariat General of the European Council on Migration and Asylum before moving to the European Commission Directorate General on Employment, Industrial Relations and Social Affairs where (1) he operated in the “European Poverty Program” and (2) coordinated the relations with large Civil Society organisations. On behalf of former President of the European Commission, Jacques Delors, Jan is the co-author with businesses of the European Business Declaration against Social Exclusion launched in 1995. This was the foundational act of CSR Europe which he started in 1996, together with Ann Vandenhende, with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation, under the Presidency of Etienne Davignon since 1998 and the leadership of Executive Director, Stefan Crets since 2011.
