Pissarides is the Founding Partner of Ominthia Capital, a boutique advisory firm that services a select group of clients. His multi-year professional record in Cyprus and abroad includes partner and C-level positions in multinational firms, across the fields of finance and information technology. His most recent positions were Managing Director and Head of Investment Services at PwC and, previously, Partner and Executive Director at regional investment bank AXIA. During his time at PwC, he assisted a number of provident funds on issues pertaining to new legislation, especially in relation to multi-employer pension fund providers. He is currently a member of the Cyprus Economy and Competitiveness Council and has served as non-executive Director across the major financial services industry sectors. Since 2020, he has been writing articles on economic developments prolifically, with a particular interest in the macroeconomics of developing and underdeveloped countries.
