This is the largest gathering within Cyprus’ financial services sector. The aim of the Banking, Forum & FinTech EXPO is to seek a new business model for banks, and other financial services organisations, while also exploring how rapid technological development has revolutionised the industry. The Forum will outline the bank of the future, based on rapid technological developments and also changes to the customer base and consumer behavior. The Forum is for senior banking executives and managers from all departments, executives of investment companies and providers of Fintech and Payments solutions.

Chrysostomos Kridiotis
Managing Director, Logicom Solutions

Chrysostomos Kridiotis is the Managing Director of Logicom Solutions, one of the largest technology solutions and services providers in Cyprus. He joined Logicom Solutions in 2018 to help with the setup of the Business Consulting practice of the company, focusing in providing a complete set of advisory services around Digital Transformation, Analytics and Cybersecurity. Previously, he served as the Country Lead for SAS in Cyprus and the Financial Services Lead for Bulgaria. Chrysostomos started his career in Citibank as a Risk Analyst and then in KPMG where he worked for the Financial Risk Management Department of the Firm. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Statistics from Macalester College in the US and an MSc in Operational Research from LSE in the UK.

Constantinos Herodotou
Governor, Central Bank of Cyprus

Constantinos Herodotou is the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. Previously he served as an Executive Director at the CBC’s Board of Directors (2017-2019). He also held the position of the Commissioner of Privatisations in Cyprus (2014-2017). Before moving to Cyprus in 2014, most of his career was in investment banking at UBS Investment Bank in London, where he rose through the ranks to head concurrently two sectors: Shipping for Europe, Middle East and Africa and simultaneously Infrastructure & Concessions Advisory / Project Finance for Central & Eastern Europe. He has advised governments and global conglomerates on major financial transactions and strategy, totaling a value of over €50 billion. His experience includes among others structuring and heading complex negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, project concessions, listing companies on stock exchanges (NASDAQ and NYSE), structuring and raising equity and debt, corporate and financial restructurings and project finance. Constantinos Herodotou holds an MBA from London Business  School and a BSc in Economics from University College London.

Martin Neisen

Martin Neisen is responsible for the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) practice at PwC Germany, which comprises a team of 500 experts on all GRC topics for banks, insurance companies and asset managers. He has extensive experience and technical expertise in the German and international financial services industry, with more than 20 years of project and audit experience. He is considered an expert in the implementation of regulatory requirements and solving problems that simultaneously concern regulation, risk management and accounting. Martin also heads the SSM Office of the PwC network, which brings together experts from all eurozone countries to coordinate cooperation with the SSM and the SSM-supervised banks. He is involved in the international project teams and leads PwC's global Basel IV initiative.

Dr. Elina Christofides
Partner, Advisory, In Charge of Banking, PwC Cyprus

Dr. Elina Christofides is an Advisory Partner, in charge of Banking, at PwC Cyprus, who has been advising banking institutions, supervisory authorities and other clients in the financial services industry with a focus on governance, risk and regulatory compliance. She has over 20 years of experience in the sector both in an advisory capacity and from her prior roles at major global banking institutions in London. Elina studied Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, receiving a Master’s Degree (MEng). She then continued her studies at Imperial College London, where she obtained a doctorate (PhD) in Quantitative Finance.

Steven Libby
Partner, Asset & Wealth Management - Europe, Middle East & Africa Leader, PwC Luxembourg

Steven Libby started his career at PwC San Francisco before moving to the Luxembourg office where his focus has been primarily on the asset and wealth management (AWM) industry providing both assurance and advisory services. Steven is the leader of the PwC EMEA AWM practice, a member of the PwC Global AWM Leadership team and a Board member of the Luxembourg fund association. Steven’s client engagements involve providing assurance work for large international asset management and asset servicing players, as well as advice on product and industry trends. He services both traditional and alternative asset classes.

Phivos Stasopoulos
Chief Banking Officer, Hellenic Bank

Born in 1967 in Cyprus, Phivos Stasopoulos has extensive experience in the accounting and banking industries. After graduating from the University of Manchester with a B.A. in Accounting, Finance and Econometrics, he joined KPMG in the UK, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He returned to Cyprus to join Bank of Cyprus as Head of Debt Recovery. After serving in various posts, he became General Manager as Head of Corporate Banking. He left the Bank at the end of 2013 and for a period of almost 2 years he was providing financial advice to reputable Cyprus companies, primarily for debt restructuring. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He joined Hellenic Bank in April 2016 where he held the position of General Manager Business Division and was responsible for the Bank’s Corporate and SME portfolio. Since August 2021, he holds the position of Chief Banking Officer, responsible for the whole spectrum of Customer related activities and products (Corporate, SME, Retail, International ,Shipping, Products)

Miltiades Michaelas
Managing Director, Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd

Miltiades Michaelas graduated from Aston University (BSc Management and Computer Science) and also holds an MBA in Financial Studies from Nottingham University. He is a Chartered Director as awarded by the Institute of Directors (UK), and was also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has served in a number of executive positions and boards of directors with banks in different countries. He started his career in 1992 at Laiki Bank, where he held several roles for 7 years leading to the position of that of the Manager of the Nicosia Corporate and Institutional Banking. He then moved to Petrolina Group (1999 to 2001) where he held the position of the Group Financial Manager for 2 years. In 2001, he moved to Laiki Bank (Australia) Ltd, (since renamed to Bank of Sydney), as General Manager, a post he held for 5 years. From 2006 until 2013 he worked at Laiki Bank (Cyprus) as the General Manager of International and Financial Services. For 2013 to 2016 he served as the Director of International Operations and Real Estate Management Unit (REMU) (since 2015) at Bank of Cyprus. In 2016 he returned to Bank of Sydney and held the position of the CEO until 2023. Dimos Kapouniaridis
Deputy General Manager, Head of Investment Banking & Principal Capital Strategies, Eurobank S.A, Greece

Dimos Kapouniaridis has joined Eurobank in 2002. He is currently Deputy General Manager and Head of the Investment Banking & Principal Capital Strategies Unit of the Bank. Prior to joining Eurobank, he had worked for the Industrial and the M&A groups of Salomon Brothers and Salomon Smith Barney in New York and Los Angeles, as well as for the M&A group of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (major in Economics and minor in Mathematics) from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.

Eliza Livadiotou
Executive Director Finance, Bank of Cyprus

Eliza Livadiotou is the Executive Director Finance since October 2019 and since October 2021 she has been an Executive Member of the Bank of Cyprus Board of Directors. She is responsible for Finance, Treasury, Strategy & Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, ESG, Real Estate Management, Restructuring & Recoveries, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement and Economic Research. She began her career in 1995 with the audit firm Arthur Andersen in Cambridge, UK, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. In 1999 she joined Bank of Cyprus, as Assistant to the Group Chief General Manager and in 2005 she moved to Finance division. Eliza studied Economics at the University of Cambridge (MA Hons).

Annita Pavlou
Manager Investor Relations & ESG, Bank of Cyprus

Annita Pavlou holds the position of Manager Investor Relations and ESG of the Bank of Cyprus since 2020, after holding the position of Manager Investor Relations since 2016, and several positions in Treasury Department since 2000 when she joined the Bank. She is responsible for developing and strengthening the Group’s relationship with existing and new investors, analysts and rating agencies aiming to enhance interest in the Group's listed securities. She is also in charge the Group’s ESG program. She is a holder of a BSC in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cyprus and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

George Agioutantis
CEO, National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd

Mr. George Agioutantis is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive member of the BoD of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd since March 2023. Prior to his current role he has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board member of NBG Bank Malta Ltd, as well as the Chairman of the Board of NBG (Malta) Holdings Ltd, whilst before he held the role of Head of Business Strategy & Corporate Development at National Bank of Greece since 2014. Mr. Agioutantis started his career in 1995 in New York (USA) in investment banking/structured finance with bulge-bracket firms (UBS, Goldman Sachs, Citibank) and upon his return in Greece spent 12+ years in financial services advisory / consulting primarily working at Big-4 firms (EY, Arthur Andersen) and an additional 5+ years in commercial leadership positions with FinTech companies covering the EMEA region. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Finance and International Business from New York University (Leonard N. Stern School of Business) and a Master in Business Administration degree in Strategy & Operations from ALBA Graduate Business School (ACG).

 

Dr. Georgios Passalis
Data & AI Managing Director, Accenture

Georgios Passalis is a Managing Director at Accenture, leading Advanced AI for Customer globally. He is also responsible for Accenture's Data & AI CoE located in Athens, Greece. He has been with Accenture for 12+ years helping Accenture’s global clients formulate, adopt and execute enterprise solutions combining Machine Learning, AI and Big Data. Georgios holds a PhD in Machine Learning from University of Athens, a MSc in Computer Science from University of Houston and a BSc in Computer Science from University of Athens. He has multiple publications in the Machine Learning domain on acclaimed journals and conferences.

Nikos Mourtzinos
Director, Cyber Security Sales Leader, EMEA Service Providers, Cisco

Nikos Mourtzinos is the Cisco EMEA Service Providers Cyber Security Sales director. Before taking on this role, Nikos held the position of Sales Director for the Cisco Cyber Security business in Central Europe, overseeing Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, CIS, Serbia, and the Balkans. He has been with Cisco since August 2010. He is an experienced sales and technical professional with solid business development knowledge, a deep understanding of Cyber Security and the ICT market, trends, and technologies, combined with knowledge of operations. He has delivered presentations at significant conferences across multiple countries. Prior to joining Cisco, Nikos served as the Line of Business Manager of HP Network Solution Group. He worked for HP for ten years, and his main focus was the overall management of the “Network Solution Group” of HP Greece. Before his tenure at Hewlett-Packard, Nikos worked as a network consultant, gaining international experience at IBM Global Services Greece for five years. Nikos completed his studies in Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and holds an M.Sc. in Data Telecommunications and Networks from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK. Additionally, he holds the prestigious Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification with the number 9763.

Nikolas Anastasiou
Director, Business Solutions and Services, Logicom Solutions

Nikolas Anastasiou is the Director of Business Solutions and Services of Logicom Solutions, focusing in providing software solutions and advisory services around Digital Transformation, Data and Analytics. Nikolas has also served as Head of Analytics and Digital of the Business Consulting Services of the company. Before joining Logicom Solutions, Nikolas has co-founded and served as Technology Director at Emergent Systems, specializing in providing analytics and business intelligence services in the financial sector. Nikolas holds BSc, MSc and PhD degrees, starting with mathematics and specializing in computing, from Imperial College London. Eleftherios Kororos
Group CIO, National Bank of Greece, Greece

Mr. Eleftherios Kororos was born in Athens and has a BSc in Electronic and Computer Engineering from University of Brighton and an MSc in Digital Electronics from University of Sussex in the UK. He started his career in the UK, working in the R&D units of major telecom and IT companies, including Nortel Networks, 3Com and Symbian. After returning to Greece, he continued his career at Accenture, where he spent 10 years specializing in the Technology areas of Financial Services Institutions. He was responsible for delivering major transformational programs, for banks in Greece, in Balkans, in South East Europe and in Middle East. In 2015, he transitioned to Intralot where from the role of Group Director of Engineering, he led the delivery and support of innovative solutions to more than 50 customers around the globe. Later, he undertook the role of Chief Technology Officer at the retail group Public focusing on the technological evolution and digital transformation of the company. He later joined Praxia Bank as the Chief Information Officer. In March of 2020, he joined NBG, leading the unit of New Core Banking System, focusing on the evolution of the Core Banking Platform, a strategic initiative of the Bank in the wider context of its Transformation Program. In December of 2021, he undertook the role of Group Chief Information Officer.

Andreas Artemiou
Chief Risk Officer (CRO) - Acting, Risk Management Department, AstroBank Public Company Ltd

Andreas Artemiou has more than 30 years of professional experience in the Banking Sector, in the areas of credit risk, operational risk, capital management, data governance risk, strategy development and implementation, interpretation and implementation of supervisory and regulatory requirements, stress testing, risk analytics and modelling and supporting front line units to adopt sound risk management processes. Prior to joining Astrobank, Andreas worked for the Bank of Cyprus Public Company Limited for the period from 1992 until 2018 where he served in various managerial positions, the most recent being the position of the Manager of Risk Analytics, Capital Risk and Data Governance. He was later seconded to Bank of Cyprus UK (subsequently sold and renamed to Cynergy Bank Limited, UK), where he served as Chief Risk Officer for the period from 2018 until 2021. Upon his repatriation to Cyprus in September 2021, he joined AstroBank initially as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and as from 01/07/2023 he holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) - Acting. Andreas is a Fellow of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Associate of the Institute of the Financial Services (ACIB).

Christos Eojourian is the Head of Technology & Digital at Hellenic Bank since August 2021. He joined Hellenic Bank in 2018 as Manager, Channels & Digital Products responsible for the Digital Strategy of the Bank. Christos has 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. He started his career in 2007 at UBS in London working within Prime Brokerage Technology before taking a senior role within the Hedge Fund Client Integration team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Prior to joining Hellenic Bank, Christos was a Director at BlackRock leading, a global team for the Aladdin platform, which provides portfolio management, trading, operations, compliance, and accounting tools. Nicolas Kapatais

George Kousis
Executive Director Technology and Operations, Bank of Cyprus

George Kousis was appointed Executive Director Technology and Operations at Bank of Cyprus in February 2022. He is responsible for the Technology Strategy and Operations, Technology Projects and Service Delivery and Operations. He joined Bank of Cyprus in 1998 where he worked from multiple positions helping the Bank establish its Data Infrastructure including the Data Warehouse. In 2017, George led the Enterprise Architecture and Strategy function, setting the technical foundations for the Bank’s Digital Transformation initiative. In November 2017 he was appointed Manager Information Technology Services, and in 2021 he proposed the adoption of the Agile methodology and has been leading the implementation of a new ‘Value Stream’ based Technology Delivery Operating Model. Prior to working for Bank of Cyprus, George worked for a Financial Services startup and as a research associate at the University of Texas at San Antonio. George holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, USA.

Spyros Loizou
Group Head International IT, Eurobank S.A.

Spyros Loizou is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Eurobank Cyprus, leading the bank’s digital and business transformation initiatives. Spyros has over 14 years of experience in the financial services sector in Cyprus and the UK. He was previously employed by Morgan Stanley Investment bank in London where he was leading the quantitative risk modeling team with Technology and Data division before his repatriation to Cyprus to lead EY’s IT Advisory services as a Director in the local practice for a number of years. He has been awarded with a 1st class honors in BSc in Computing from Northumbria University at Newcastle and an MBA from the Cyprus International Institute of Management. Demetrios Tseas
Senior Analyst Crypto Risk, Ciphertrace a Mastercard company

Demetrios Tseas is a senior cryptocurrency risk analyst working for Ciphertrace, a Mastercard company. Publishes monthly global crypto-related regulatory newsletters and educational blogs. Authors Virtual Asset Risk Assessments (VERAs) which are in-depth assessments, that quantify the financial crime, cybersecurity, regulatory and reputational risks associated with exposure to a particular VASP. VERAs help financial institutions, issuers, acquirers, VASPs and other third parties to make informed risk appetite decisions, as well as document sound risk management decisioning in governance for regulators. VASPs can also leverage this analysis to understand how they are risk rated by the market as well as identify opportunities to strengthen compliance controls. Holds an MSc in digital currencies, has 35+ years of experience: 5 years in crypto, 18 years complementary experience in banking and 13 years in teaching.

Eleftherios Vlachogiannis
Head of Transaction Banking AGM, Eurobank S.A, Greece

Eleftherios Vlachogiannis, has an extensive experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in 1998 at Citigroup Inc., where he fulfilled various client-facing roles in Transaction Banking Services (Securities Services & Fund administration) across various markets (Greece, UK, Nordics, and Netherlands). In his current role, he is heading Transaction Banking Services for Eurobank S.A, having both product and commercial responsibility of Payments and Cash Management, Trade Finance and Securities Services Business. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the American College of Greece and an Executive MBA from ALBA Business School.

Ioanna Chini
Senior Manager, Strategy and Consulting, Accenture

Ioanna Chini is a Senior Manager at Accenture Strategy & Consulting, focusing on providing advice to CIOs on pressing topics, such as IT strategy, Cloud, digital transformation, and new IT operating models. She has been helping clients shape and execute their IT strategy considering systems, processes, people and measurable goals to ensure delivery of change. Mark Curmi

Mark Curmi is an established financial services professional having in excess of 18 years of experience in the European financial services landscape. Currently the CEO at Trumia Ltd, a regulated E-Money and Payment Services Institution operating in the EU/EEA. Previously a Director in KPMG Malta, responsible for the Banking, Financial Institutions and Digital Assets regulatory/compliance advisory services lines. He spent eight years at HSBC Group, predominantly holding roles in Commercial Banking. He was subsequently heavily involved in the establishment of fintech outfit Andaria Financial, and currently also holds the role of Independent Director and Chairman of the Risk Committee at Sparkasse Bank Malta plc.

Nikos Kininis
Global Head of Risk and Payment Operations, Libertex

Nikos Kininis has over 10 years of experience in Payments and Operations in the Forex and Binary industries. Among previous key positions, he has worked as eToro’s Payments Director and as FXTM/Alpari’s General Manager/Payments Systems Manager, where he was responsible for leading the Payment Systems’ functions while he worked closely with the board of directors on the planning and execution of the group’s strategy. Since 2021, Nikos has been leading Libertex's Risk and Payment Operations, implementing modernized procedures that have helped reduce fraudulent transactions while increasing transaction security and thus solidifying the company’s reputation in risk management. At the same time, new banking and payment providers have been introduced and processes were streamlined, with new payment processing projects currently in the pre-launch stage.

Ilze Petersone has more than 20 years of international experience in banking and financial industry in Europe taking such positions as Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Head of Internal Audit and Compliance officer. Panagiotis Polydoros has extensive experience and proven know-how in the field of payments, as he belongs to the Mastercard team since March 2017 holding the role of Business Development Director, where he was responsible, among other things, for developing new products and services for the geographical areas of Greece, Cyprus and Malta. Mr. Polydoros previous experience includes a position in Deloitte in the department of Strategy Consulting.
