The Leadership & Human Resource Management Conference, organised by IMH and PwC Cyprus, is the biggest gathering of HR professionals in Cyprus. It aims to combine the latest developments, expertise and knowledge from organisations around the world with local knowledge and practice and the main objective of the conference is to provide practical examples and case studies of management and human capital practices, enabling participants to gain useful knowledge and expertise that can be successfully applied to their own organisations.

Introduction

If you ask any established business leader to list the main factors that have contributed to his/her company’s success, you can be almost certain that the first word you will hear is “people”. Few organisations will disagree with the familiar saying “Our people are our greatest asset” and with good reason: it’s true. We may be living in a new digital era, in which technology is threatening to take away certain jobs but, at the same time, it is an era that requires more skilled and specialised human input than ever before, ultimately leading to greater job satisfaction for growing numbers of people.

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the annual Leadership & Human Resource Management Conference and, this year, IMH and PwC Cyprus are organising a very special conference, which aims to discuss in detail exactly what it means to invest in people, to attract and retain the best talent and to inspire and motivate employees through leadership. In addition to keynote addresses by distinguished speakers, a series of panel discussions featuring experienced business leaders will present opinions and ideas on issues such as nurturing talent, encouraging creativity and promoting diversity in an attractive working environment within the framework of a healthy corporate culture. Investing in people means doing all this and more and the 20th Leadership & Human Resource Management Conference will provide an in-depth view of this broad and important topic.
