Bank of Cyprus is organizing the 7th Business Leaders Summit – Redefining Business and Entrepreneurship: Inspiring Insights from Successful Business Leaders, on Monday 16 October 2023, at the Hilton Nicosia at 17:00.
The Bank of Cyprus Business Leaders’ Summit has become the largest and most important gathering of Business Leaders in Cyprus. It is flagship industry event, where current issues of business leadership and entrepreneurship are discussed through inspirational and engaging presentations and discussions.
Each year, the Business Leaders’ Summit tackles a new topic of interest to the local business community. This year, the Summit will be entitled “Redefining Business and Entrepreneurship: Inspiring Insights from Successful Business Leaders” and it will discuss challenges faced by modern Business Leaders. These include fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, engaging with society through ESG and CSR initiatives, adapting to the digital revolution, and pursuing sustainable growth amidst energy, climate, and competitive pressures.

Xenios is the Director of Corporate and SME Banking at Bank of Cyprus since January 2022. He is responsible for the wholesale Business (Corporate Banking Units, the Small and Medium Enterprises Banking Centres) and the Bank's Factoring Unit. He joined the Bank in 1993 as Management Trainee and served the Group from various managerial positions mainly in the Corporate and Credit Risk Departments. Prior to his appointment as Director of Corporate and SME Banking, he served as Director of Corporate from August 2019 until December 2021. Xenios holds a BBA with honours in Accounting from Southern Arkansas University, USA, and an MBA Finance with honours from Louisiana Tech University, USA. He is a member of the Board of Directors of General Insurance of Cyprus, a member of the Board of IDEA, and a member of the Board of Directors of Limassol Marina Ltd.

Vasileios Fourlis is the President of the Board of Directors of FOURLIS A.E. HOLDINGS. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TRADE ESTATES AEEAP and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of HOUSEMARKET A.E. (IKEA). Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of INTERSPORT A.E. Furthermore, Vassilios Fourlis has held positions on various other Boards of Directors. These include the Association of Businesses and Industries (SEB), the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), and the Hellenic Corporate Governance Council (HEG) of S.A. TITAN Cement. He has also served on the Boards of OTE S.A., IMITHEA S.A. (Errikos Dunan Hospital Center), Piraeus Bank, Vivartia A.E., and the National Insurance Company. Additionally, Vassilios Fourlis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society for Environment and Culture. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the "Kouros Entrepreneurship" award by the President of the Hellenic Republic in 2004.

Eftichios Vassilakis is the CEO & Principal of Vassilakis Group consisting mainly of 2 ASE listed entities Aegean Airlines, the largest Greek Airline and Autohellas, the largest Automotive Services company in Greece. (Circa 5,000 group employees.) Mr. Vassilakis serves as a non-executive Director on the Board of LAMDA DEVELOPMENT and TEMES (developer of Costa Navarino Resort). He is Vice President of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) & a Member of the Board & Executive Committee of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV). He holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale (1988) and an MBA from Columbia (1991).

Andreas Hadjikyriacos founded GNORA Communication Consultants in 2003 and has been its Managing Director ever since. He was the communication consultant to presidential candidate and subsequent President of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, while he also managed the communication strategy for the acquisition of a private island in Greece among other projects. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from Northeastern University, Boston, and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Communication and Political Sciences from Indiana University. He has worked as a journalist for twenty-three years, among others, as political editor at the newspaper Phileleftheros, as news director at MEGA Cyprus and as a correspondent for the newspaper to VIMA and the Greek service of the BBC. He is the author of two book, a historical fiction and a political science book on parliamentary elections in Cyprus.

The Summit will be attended by approximately 500 delegates and will consist of CEO’s, Board Members and other C level executives from Organisations representing all sectors of economic activity.
- This event is by invitation only. Additional submitted registrations will be subject to approval by the organizers and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance will therefore depend on the availability of spaces and fulfillment of the target audience profile criteria. All successful applicants will receive a confirmation email. In the event that you do not receive such confirmation, then your registration will not have been approved.
